When a tragic case like Trayvon’s rips through our society, it never ceases to amaze me the spectrum of reactions you witness…
some shy away and go underground from the sheer disgust and horror of it all, others continue to voice their delusions because the ugly truth is too painful a reflection of their own twisted , illogical beliefs, they’d rather embrace lies to protect their egos than apologize or admit fault; others pray silently while some pray loudly for change and others still, take their passionate fire and use their gifts to transform their sadness and rage into a lasting message of healing and peace…
To be honest, I don’t know what more can be said…I don’t know what else can be done or how much more blood and violence must occur for humanity to get its act together…
I’m really sick, tired and angry of people taking fear, hatred, prejudice and control, slapping a candy coating on it and pushing it as “love,” “morality,” and “justice” when all it does is leave a bitter taste in your mouth.
True love, morality and justice UNITES; it brings PEACE and HAPPINESS.
It HEALS because with it we become more COMPASSIONATE to ourselves and each other.
So, if whatever you’re promoting brings results to the contrary—if your actions promote DIVISION, HATRED, SEPARATION, FEAR, CONFLICT and INJUSTICE, you’re deluding yourself as to what side you’re TRULY on and no amount of religious and societal masks can erase the truth of who you REALLY are.
Good trees only bear good fruit.
If you say your God says “Judgment is mine,” yet YOU appoint yourself as the Judge of others and you hatefully work to keep others marginalized because their lifestyle disagrees with yours, who are you REALLY serving?
Beyond race, religion and politics and so-called societal “norms,” a truth exists within our most basic actions and reactions…we’re NOT defined in this life, on this Earth so much by the beliefs we claim to have, but more by what we DO and how we LIVE every moment.
The Goddess, The God, Yahweh, Oshun, Obatala, Chango, Oya, Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed, Mother Mary, Kwan Yin, Harriet Tubman, Mother Theresa, Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, Dr. King, Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, Bob Marley, Che Guevara, Gil Scott Heron, Cesar Chavez…and many, many, many more and still many more to come…have all tried to get the same message across to us…why are we so stubborn?
When will we listen?
When will we change?
When will we apologize for the hateful ways we treat each other so we can finally heal and move forward together?
We are defined by what our lives give BIRTH through every choice, action and reaction we make.
It’s quite simple really, so why do we keep on making it complicated? Why do we continue to make ourselves suffer?
If you love JUSTICE, you must put aside your own flawed perceptions and look at just the facts—
Nothing more, nothing less.
Life has gives us so much gray area, but when it comes to how we treat ourselves and each other on this planet, the message is black and white:
If you truly LOVE, you cannot promote HATE in any form.
Is your love conditional or unconditional?
Is freedom for all…or just for people who look, act and live like you?
By what you create, what are you promoting—LOVE OR HATE?
