If you didn’t know before, #RacistStarbucks banned #BlackLivesMatter attire & the backlash was epic!
JUST NOW, they’re reversing their policy. Here’s the link.
We ARE powerful & so is our patronage, but ask yourself…do you REALLY want to support a historically racist & insensitive business? 🤔💭
They only think we “matter” because of economics & social media backlash.
If you need ALL of that to convince you that we’re human beings, too, I don’t care how many accessories and shirts you make.
You’re #fake, Starbucks—you care about black dollars, *NOT* black lives!
Supporting Starbucks gets a huge “HELL NO!” from me! 👎🏿👎🏾👎🏽👎🏼👎🏻🚫☕
We’re not forgetful, Starbucks and we will show you the depth of our memory.
You can’t buy our forgiveness, especially when your motivations are shallow & derogatory, at best.
#Blacklivesmatter is NOT a trend—there are REAL deaths behind it, REAL abuses that MUST end & REAL people who are terrorized by #systemicracism EVERY. DAY.
Let that marinate…
…and while you’re at it, support a #blackowned cafe ☕ or at the very least, one that will let you sit in their shop without calling the police on you and one that always treated you with GENUINE respect.
Because we DO Matter.
Much Love & Strength, now more than ever!
