Eye on Ifeanyi Poem: ~Ifeanyi Anastasia~

I stand, naked in the morning light, as my ebony twists softly kiss the small of my mocha back like a lover.

I’m ready to step into the vortex.

I say goodbye to the decade that broke & shaped me infinitely through fire, tears & laughter.

Today, I perish, leaving behind the ashes of my wizened beliefs, tattered dreams…

I no longer crawl, bleeding–exhausted–on the teal, crushed glass of my shattered desires and hopes.

No…like a Phoenix, I rise, like a Lotus, I resurrect myself with the morning sun…and I am renewed.

I AM Ifeanyi Anastasia:  “With Goddess, ALL things are possible”…as I am She “who will rise again.”
